Music Program
Our church's music program has a long tradition of leading worship. Three vocal choirs and three handbell choirs are active, with groups including members from five-years-old through adults. These offerings are supplemented by regular use of a variety of musical instruments, drawing from the talented members of CPC and the community.
Rehearsal times and groupings are adjusted yearly to meet the needs of the congregation. The choirs are always happy to have new members, and the directors will be pleased to discuss the music program with any interested persons.

YEAR-END THANKS
It has been a great year for our youth and handbell choirs, and we especially thank our church for all the support we receive from the congregation as a whole.
I add many thanks to the parents for providing transportation and encouragement to the choristers; to our accompanists this year, Carolyn Smith (flute), Boots Kinzie, Julie Neal, Cheryl St. John, Kitty Obenshain, and Taylor Baldwin; and to Ginny Taylor-Troutman and her coordination of the “honorary choir parents,”
Monty Leitch, Boots Kinzie, and Lu Vacca, who have helped, along with parents,
with Wednesday afternoon snacks and games, and child care during Chancel Ringers.
Our Chancel Ringers have provided music on several Sunday mornings, ending on May 13; they also
played the prelude for Lessons and Carols in December, and on Monday, May 21, they were honored
to take part in the Montgomery County Police Officers’ Memorial Service at the Government Center by
offering “Sweet By and By” and “Were You There” with the help of Corey Morrell on trumpet and
Dominic Havens on keyboard. This year’s Chancel Ringers have included Katelyn Barney, Arcadia
Doak, Sammy Doak, Michaela Goldammer, Pat Goldammer, Lori Keeling, Julie Neal, Beth Newman,
Sarah Sciullo, Kelly Stulce, Emily Sutphin, Rachel Sutphin, Tamara Sutphin, and Leah Vacca.
On May 20 the Harmony and Melody Choirs, Good Vibrations, and Celebration Ringers helped lead
worship through ringing and singing to the glory of God. Through the year, these groups have been
very faithful in attendance, leading our youth Christmas Program, as well as providing music for many
Sunday worship services through the seasons.
Good Vibrations this year were the small but dedicated group of Marina Craft, Elizabeth Humphreys,
and Shea Miller. Celebration Ringers included Julianne Clements, Lawson Hamilton, Rickey Horton,
Sammantha Humphreys, Christopher Keeling, Maggie Lawson, Parker
MacDonald, Jordan Owens, Sammie Poole, Paige Showalter, Anna Smith, and
Ella Stulce. All these ringers constituted Harmony Choir (grades 3-8). Based on
their faithful attendance and finishing out the year, Harmony Choir members
receive choir pin awards, either a pin, note guard, or pearl. Ella Stulce will
receive a double award for having had perfect attendance this year!
Melody Choir members (grades K-2) this year have included Lydia Gorzycki, Paulos Gorzycki,
Savannah Hamilton, Emilee Horton, Jackson Poole, David Smith, Allison Snow, and Jacob Snow.
Allison and Jacob Snow will receive double awards for perfect attendance in this group!
Many thanks to all the choristers and ringers. I look forward to working with you again next year! If
anyone has questions about our youth and handbell choir program, please contact met at 540-392-
